"Expression with Fabric" Oct 15 - Nov 3, 2024

The exhibition showcased a selection of individual artworks and a collective installation created by participants from the Swedish Quilt Academy's courses, which focus on textile art expression. The teaching emphasized knowledge and training in expressing abstract and scaled images, as well as the effective use of color, form, and composition.
Additionally, the exhibition highlighted the evolving role of the artist, emphasizing the dual responsibilities of artist and educator. It was curated by Katriina Flensburg, the teacher, supervisor and coordinator of the project within the framework of the Swedish Quilt Academy's activities.

The large and engaged audience was introduced to the art genre with well attended daily guidance. The group addresses its thanks to the Uppsala Artist Club for access to the beautiful gallery (partly reasoned by Katriina Flensburg's engagement as the teacher parallell to her membership in the association).
