The open call for the 2024 residency (September 10-24) is closed and the selection process is on.
The number of applicants has reached the all-time high and we are extremely impressed with the generally high standards.
The selected artist will be announced on May 2nd at the latest.
The below, now past time, open call is left on the pages so far as an example of the requirements for those who were unable to apply this year but hope to return in the matter in times to come.

The Art´n Fiber® residency grant/fellowship (short term) focuses on international exchange and cooperation.
The fully funded stay is addressed to professional textile/fiber artists and those with equally active artistic commitment.The current target group is European* textile/fiber artists living outside the borders of Sweden.The residency was established on the initiative of textile/fiber artist Katriina Flensburg and it is run in close cooperation with and support from the Region Uppsala and Uppsala Municipality/City. Location of the residency is the Quilt Academy of Sweden facility.
Recipients of the grants of 2022 and 2023 were the fiber artists Fabia Delise, Italy and Dorothy Wedderburn, the Netherlands,

Complementary: Starting in 2024 and in addition to the above residency, the Quilt Academy of Sweden has reserved a number of weeks availlable for booking for individuals/couples/colleagues seeking a short-time getaway with an acces to facilities for creativity within the field of fiber art.
